Funky Ladies

I've been playing with these funky lady stamps from TAC & just having some fun with them, they all seem to have an attitude of their own.

Prismacolors & outline stamps

Well, I'm still playing & experimenting with my prismacolors on various cardstock. Stamping outline stamps (Magenta) with white Stazon & coloring with pencils, then outlining in white. The corner stamp is from TAC.

Prismacolors on solid stamps

These 2 I did stamping with white Stazon & then coloring with my Prismacolor pencils, then going over the outlines with a white pencil.

Permanent Markers & Alcohol

I've been coloring my stamps with Sharpie markers, spritzing with alcohol, then stamping. You can spritz 3 times without recoloring & get 3 different looks. The card above was the second impression , the one below it was my first impression. I tried this with my Copics & no matter how much I cleaned the stamp beforehand the Copic color came out muddy looking. Maybe on a new stamp it would keep the color.

Light on Dark

I've been playing with my Versa Magic inks on dark cs & so far this is what I've come up with. At first I was stamping on black cs but the colors seemed to fade to almost white but when I tried stamping on the grey cs the color remained.

Iris stocking

This was my first Iris fold, a friend sent me patterns, instructions & a really nice card so I wanted to give it a try. If I'd known it'd turn out this well I would've picked a Christmas red, guess I can call this beginner's luck. I did the top part with ribbon.

Making Friends

This is another one of my favorite stamps from High Hope Stamps. This one I colored with my aqua brush & water colors. It was nice taking a break from all the Christmas cards I've been making lately.

Snow Globes

I used my circle punch to make the snow globes, then angled my corners to add the base. I thought this was a neat idea.

Snow Flakes

Snowmen & snowflakes are my favorites to make as Christmas cards, they have such a happy look to them.

Faux Linen

This is a faux linen technique I tried where you sand glossy card stock both vertically & horizontally, then sponge color on.

Happy Snowman

I love snowmen & I think this guy just looks so happy, he's from Stampendous.

Skater on Frozen Pond

This is one of my favorites. I stamped Frozen Pond from High Hope stamps, colored, added some Puffy Paint & glitter for the snow. I 3D my happy little snowman form Memory Box stamps, a little layering & that was it.

Snowflakes Glitter

This one I brayer the Snowflakes embossing folder, added glitter to the flakes, punched, colored my favorite snowman punch & added a 3D snowflake with a few gems.

Winter Village with Color

These 2 were embossed with Winter Village folder. The one on the left I brayerd the folder & like it. The one on the right I brayred the wrong side of the folder so tried inking direct with the ink pad, not so sure I'm happy with it, don't like the streaks.

A Few Trees

These are a couple of cards I did for a Tree swap. I had fun inking the backgrounds with my Versa Magic pads.

Winter Village

This was a fast & simple Christmas card. I embossed winter village with my cuttlebug, added glitter to the roofs, snowflakes & ground, added a few mini snowflakes with gems, stamped Santa, Happy Holidays & inked edges with same color ink.

Rain Girls

I know I haven't been posting on here for a long time - flu season & thank goodness that's over with. I had fun coloring these 3 with my copic markers, the stamps are from High Hope Stamps, except for the little cat, they have such cute stamps on their site, you can see them here. I still have a few that I haven't inked yet but looking forward to playing with.

Deep Thoughts

I wanted to share this card I received from Carrie. We are both in a couple of the same online cardmaking groups & decided to do a 1-4-1 watercolor swap. I just love what she did with this one.

Snow Men

I finally started my Christmas cards for this year & as you can see I have 4 so far. I got this happy little set from TAC & it comes with some very cute sayings. If you're looking for a good TAC rep you'll find the best one here or you can check out her blog for some fine inspiration.

Embossed Vellum

This was a fun one to do. I embossed the vellum with my cuttlebug, colored the debossed side on the back with my copics, punched, colored the vellum flowers & dragon fly.

Rub on Halloween

Ok, I know this picture is just a little blurry but I do have my camera on auto focus, so, I don't know why it blurred, I'll just blame it on the ghosts & goblins. I made this one yesterday using rub-ons as I don't have many Halloween stamps but I thought it came out pretty cute.

Mystery Challenge Cards

These 2 cards I did for a Mystery challenge in 1 of the groups I belong to. It was my first try at this & was fun to do. All the supplies were sent to me & I had to come up with a card but there was so much in the envelope I was able to make 2 of them.

Kitty on Vellum

One more of my High Hope stamps. This time I stamped feathers with various versa magic colors on heavy vellum & embossed with my cuttlebug. It was my first time running vellum through the cuttlebug & I was impressed with the look of it.

The Happy Hiker

This is one of my favorite stamps, she has the happiest little face. I colored her with my copics, added glossy accents, glitter & layered to some nice paper. She is from High Hope rubber stamps, I think they have some of the most adorable stamps with nice outlines.
